Betty Mae Cedar, 79, of Springfield, IL died Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1937, in Benton, IL to Clifford E. and Wanita McGlasson Cedar, and they preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Flora Kilner.

Betty is survived by three brothers: Everett (Carol) McGlasson of Springfield, Ernie (Lorraine) McGlasson of Sesser, IL, and Jack McGlasson of Mt. Vernon, and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Betty worked at Franklin Life Insurance Company, retiring after 43 years of service. She was a volunteer at the Animal Protective League, a member of the International Association for Administrative Professionals (IWAP), and a Certified Professional Secretary.

Visitation: 11 am – 1 pm, Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Staab Funeral Home . Funeral Service: 1 pm, Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Staab Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
