Claudia attended local schools and migrated to Niagara Falls, NY in 1941. He met the former Esther Pearl Goldsmith and they married on February 14, 1957. Mr. Hamilton was employed at the SKW (now Globe Metallurgical) plant and retired in 1983 after 44 years of service. Claudia enjoyed cooking, was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He persevered through his illness with grace and always, "Thanked God for extending his life" after the doctors only gave him a few days to live in 2004. He touched many lives and shared a word of wisdom with anyone who needed comfort. He often took his family fishing at Rice Lake in Canada.
He leaves to cherish his memory his faithful and devoted wife of 53 years, Esther Pearl Hamilton, who stood by his side until the very end; his fourteen children, Ronard "Ronnie" Hart of Orlando, Florida, Vanessa (Sylzester ÒDickie") Scott, Esther Lee (Clearance) Herbert, Keith Gainer, Eviller "Toot" Hamilton, Anthony ÒTony" Hamilton, Carol (Orlando) Smith, Rose Hamilton, Pearlie Myles, Lila (David) Rankin, Angela (Darryl) Bagley, and Jonathan Hamilton, all of Niagara Falls, New York; 42 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Hamilton was predeceased by two children, Lee Esther Hamilton and Gental Hamilton; one grandchild, Courtney Herbert; and also his siblings, Elsie (late Robert Lewis) Harris, Pearline (late John Henry) Maye, Houston (late Annie Jo) Hamilton, Bertha (late Lucias) Bradley, Lloyd (late Lessie) Hamilton, Isadore (late Vivian Nadine) Hamilton; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends..
