A son of the late Albert Breech Sr. and Mary Lucy Mummert Breech, Russell was a retired carpenter and a member of Rush Free Baptist Church, Lucasville.
On August 31, 1978 Russell was united in marriage to Markeeta Sue Cox Breech who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Bill Cox and wife Emily of Otway, Dave Breech and wife Shelley of Piketon, Ohio, James Breech of Jackson, Ohio and Russell O. Breech II and wife Katie of Lucasville; two daughters, Kym Ramsey of Lucasville and Traci Honeycutt and husband Tim of Rock Hill, South Carolina; three brothers, Albert Breech and wife Brenda, Bob Breech and wife Barb and Terry Breech and wife Jan; three sisters, Sarah Throckmorton and husband Ron, Mary Davis and husband Homer and Martha Campbell and husband Ed; seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by a sister, Regina Breech Shultz.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Rush Free Baptist Church with Curtis Jones and Albert Breech officiating. Burial will follow in Garvin Cemetery, McDermott.
