Kristie A. Dunlap, 66, of Tremont, passed away at 10:35 am Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
She was born September 28, 1949 in Pekin to Donald I. and Doris M. Penning Dorsey. She married Michael S. Dunlap on November 19, 1981 in Pekin, and he survives.
Also surviving are one son, Shane Watts of Morton; two daughters, Kelley (Scott) Stone and Cheri (Mike) Crebo, both of Hopedale; five grandchildren, Natalie Stone, Ben Watts, Clara Watts, Ava Crebo, and Owen Watts; one sister, Marsh Huston of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael Dorsey.
She was a hairdresser in Morton for many years, secretary for the Tremont Police Department, and secretary for the Tremont Junior High School, where she was loved by the students and staff.
Kris served as an EMT for Tremont Rescue 702.
She enjoyed cooking, genealogy, but most of all, her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Pastor David Craig will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Private family burial will be at a later date.
