Victor L. Rezek, age 81, formerly of 16619 Harpts Lake Road, Mishicot,
died Saturday evening April 20, 2002 at the Manitowoc Health Care
Center, where he has been a resident for the past three and one-half years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2002
at the Lambert Funeral Home in Mishicot, with the Reverend Robert
Johannes officiating. Burial will take place in the Mishicot Public
Cemetery.
Victor was born Dec. 18, 1920 in Manitowoc County to the late Luis and
Tillie Salta Rezek and has been a lifelong area resident.
He married the former Verna Micholichek April 3, 1948 at the Melnik
Presbyterian Church in Melnik. Victor farmed his entire life, where he
owned and operated the family farm in the town of Gibson for many years.
He was a former member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Mishicot. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling and enjoyed his
special dog, Rusty.
Survivors include his wife, Verna; two daughters and one son-in-law,
Carol (Rezek) and Ronald Jaeger of Steiners Corners and their daughter
Tanya Jaeger and her special friend Eric; Donna Peters of Harpts Lake
Road, Mishicot, and her children, Randy (Mary) Peters, and their
children, Brandon and Preston; Chad Peters and his fiance Tiffany and
their child Cody; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Kim Rezek of
Two Rivers and their children Amy and David Katzka and their expectant
child, and also Ryan and Peggy Rezek; Glenn and Marlene Rezek of
Mishicot and their children, Sheena Kuss, Tyson Wotruba and his special
friend Amber and their child Katlyn; Matthew Wotruba. He is further
survived by two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Betty (Martin)
Wotruba of Maribel, Irene (Emil) Kunstman of Two Rivers, Russell Kittell
Sr. of Maribel; nieces, nephews and cousin. He was also preceded in
death by one son, Gary Rezek; one great-granddaughter, Holly Mae Peters;
one brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Lucille Rezek; one sister,
Charlotte Kittell, and an infant brother, Harvey.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the
Lambert Funeral Home in Mishicot. Visitation will continue after 9:30
a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home until the time of service at 10:30
a.m. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The Rezek family
would like to express a special thank you to the entire staff of the
Manitowoc Health Care Center for their love, special care and concerns
shown to Victor and our family during his illness.
