Lupe Sanchez, 96, Topeka, formerly of Winslow, AZ, went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 15, 2016.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to cook for her family. She also enjoyed volunteering at her church in Arizona.

She married Julio Sanchez who preceded her in death in 1977.

She is survived by her sons, David (Terri) Sanchez of Berryton, KS and Robert (Emily) Sanchez of Westminster, CA; grandchildren David Sanchez, Jr, Sandra Koch, Richard Sanchez, Stephen Sanchez, Jason Linenberger, Cheryl Esquer, Robert Sanchez, Jr., Julianna Alley and James Sanchez; 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A Rosary will be prayed beginning at 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 22 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE. Minnesota, Topeka, KS 66605, with visitation until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia, Topeka, KS 66605, with burial to follow in Lynn Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.
