Lillian K. Hicks, 79, of Alpena died on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at home.
Lillian K. Wells was born on September 13, 1936 in Glennie, Michigan to the late Seward and Helen (Katona) Wells. Lillian married John Flieger in 1958. He preceded her in death. On October 17, 1975, she married Edgar S. Hicks in Dearborn, MI. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was an advertising account executive for the Detroit Free Press for 8 ½ years, the Grosse Pointe News for 14 years, and the Riverside, California Press for 4 years. Lillian was a member of the Newspaper Guild of America, Ladies Auxiliary, Eagles #1241, AARP, and the Republican Party.
Lillian is survived by one son, John Flieger of Warren, MI; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Al Wells.
Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. No visitation or services will be held, per Lillian’s wishes.
