Kimberly J. Scott, 57, Kokomo, passed away at 2:05 am on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. She was born on April 14, 1959, in Marion, the daughter of Bruce O. & Donna E. (Shanks) Surbey. On March 18, 1995, in Kokomo, she married Fred W. Scott and he survives.
Kimberly was a 1977 graduate of Taylor High School. She worked for Kroger as a meat cutter. In the past Kimberly had worked for IMMI, HRK, and as a hairdresser. She was a member of Fairfield Christian Church, and a former member of the V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary. Kimberly enjoyed crocheting, crafts, cooking, baking, fixing things herself and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Kimberly is survived by her loving husband, Fred W. Scott, Kokomo; parents, Bruce (Minerva) Surbey, Houston, TX, and Donna Surbey, Kokomo; children, Melissa (Rick) Wisehart, Kokomo, and Justin (Amanda) Collins, Kokomo; step-son, Lucas Scott, Westfield; grandchildren, Nolan Wisehart, Alexandra Collins, Amelia Collins, Owen Collins, Oliver Collins, Caden Scott, Hayley Scott, and Adrienne Scott; siblings, Pam (Dave) Huffman, Karen (Jeff) Simmons, Sharon (Mike) Hafley, Stephanie Youngman, all of Kokomo, Suzi Machdo, Ana Machdo, and Sonia Hines, all of Houston, TX, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Kimberly will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastor Keith Crammer officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
