Rebecca Grace "Becky" Mongold Cline, 85, a resident of Staunton, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. She had been in failing health for many years.

She was born in Staunton on Nov. 21, 1930, and was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Rebecca Grace Pennington Mongold.

Becky graduated from Churchville High School and Dunsmore Business College. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Staunton and was a homemaker.

On Aug. 5, 1950, she married Quentin Garber Cline, who preceded her in death on July 8, 2000.

She is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Jarrels and husband, Milton, of McGaheysville; three sons, Quentin Cline and wife, Carolyn, of Swoope, Lynn Cline of Staunton, and Wes Cline of Harrisonburg; six grandchildren, Stephenie, Garrett, Trevor, Steffan, Lindsey and Christy; two great-grandchildren, Richard Monk and Garrett Lee Cline; a brother, Robert "Bob" Mongold; and a sister, Eugenia "Denna" Bowers.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Louise Armstrong, Clarence and Bill Mongold.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016, at the Lindsey Funeral Home in Weyers Cave.

A private graveside will be held earlier in the day.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice in her memory.
