Louis Ted Day, 74, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at his home. He was born June 23, 1942 in Sherman, TX. He attended Christian Brothers High School and married Verna "Kay" Stephens on June 24, 1961. He was self-employed at Day & Son Excavating and Construction. He had a heart of gold, and was always busy doing something, around the house and garage. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Louis was a member of the Sparta United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, father, Ralph Day, Sr., step-mother, Anna Darlene Day, mother, Annabelle Frieda Miller, step-father, Ray Miller, two brothers, Harry Day, Jr. and Paul Day, two step- brothers, Mike Mullen and Kelly Mullen, and a sister, JoAnn Finney. Survivors include: wife, Kay Day of the home, three daughters, Brenda Kay (Wayne) Krull of Faucett, MO, Kimberly Kay Day (companion Kevin) of St. Joseph, and Beverly Kay Berning (companion Brian) of Gladstone, MO, son, Joseph Day (companion Adena) of St. Joseph, MO, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Sparta United Methodist Church with Pastor Rodney Krumme officiating.
