He was born November 10,1916 at the family farmhouse in Monroe Township, Iowa. Charles moved to California just prior to WWII. During the War he served as an officer in the Army and continued in the Reserves for 20 years, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel.
Charles retired after 30 years from General Telephone (Verizon).
He was married to Irene M. Brunt for 57 years until her passing in 2000.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Charlene Jackson, a grandson Graham Jackson, his wife Gina and great-granddaughter Shelby.
Charles enjoyed hiking and creating original crafts.
