Eugene "Gene" "Hat Man" FrazierLORAIN – Eugene Frazier Sr., 73, of Lorain, Ohio passed away Monday July 13, 2015 in Fairview Hospital of Cleveland following a lengthy illness.He was born March 9, 1942 in Anderson, South Carolina and had lived in Lorain since 1987. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Lorain where he served as a trustee of the church. He retired from U.S. Steel after 34 years of service as a stationary engineer. Eugene was known for his many hats and he enjoyed golfing, cooking, and gardening. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Helen Frazier (nee Hough); son, Richard Frazier; daughters, Betty Frazier, Queen Wyatt, and Tat Hough; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; a brother, Donald (Ronda Lisa) Frazier; a sister, Annette (Eddie) Parker; a sister-in-law, Sandra Frazier; a special grandson, Jay; and many nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends Eugene was preceded in death by his son, Eugene Frazier Jr.; his parents, Eddie Sr. and Annese Frazier; brothers, Eddie Jr., Calvin, and Melvin Frazier; and a sister, Elizabeth Frazier. Visitation will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 from 10:00AM until time of service at 11:00AM at Living Word Church, 658 E. Eire Ave in Lorain. Rev. Monique M. Greenfield of Wesley United Methodist Church of Lorain will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
