She was born April 3, 1932 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to William and Eula Jane(Mortimore) Marzke.
She graduated Mentone High Scholl and attended Central High School where she received a Nursing Degree. She was united in marriage to Richard A. Barnes in Larwill, Indiana on November 22, 1952. A Larwill resident since 1976, she was formerly of Pierceton, Indiana. She was formerly employed by the Pierceton Nursing Home for 11years, Murphy Medical Center, Warsaw for 5 years and Miller’s Merry Manor, Columbia City for 5 years retiring in 1982. She was member of New Hope Wesleyan Church, Columbia City.
Survivors include her husband Richard Barnes of Larwill; son James (and spouse Marla) Barnes of St. Cloud, Florida; Four grandchildren, Tim Watson of Phoenix, Arizona, Roxanne (and spouse David) Culver of San Antonio, Texas, Carrie (and spouse Josh) Phillips of Clermont, Florida and Cody Barnes of St Cloud, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Carolyn Watson and a brother Frank Marzke.
