Mrs. Kathy Lou Hayes of Melvin, surrounded by the love of her family, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 years 8 months and 16 days on Thursday. July 14, 2016, at her home.
Kathy Lou, the daughter of the late Bud and Kathleen (LaFever) Ripenbark, was born in Yale October 28, 1945.
On February 23, 1963, in Yale, Miss Kathy Lou Ripenbark was united in marriage with Mr. to Robert Stephen Hayes. Robert passed away Friday, October 2, 2015.
Kathy was employed by several Yale area businesses for many years and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by: her children, Laurie and Bob Stawecki,
Bobby andVickiHayes, Debbie Hyde and Jim Laba, Jenny and Mike Cahoon,
Becky and Gary McDonald, Vicky and Ken Cahoon, and Johnny and Ilene Hayes;
…17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren;
…her sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Alfred Maxwell and her brother,
Jerry Ripenbark and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, …Bud Ripenbark and Kathleen Ripenbark, nee LaFever; her beloved husband of 52 years, Robert Stephen Hayes;
her granddaughter,Jenny Lee Cahoon,
a sister-in-law, Sharon Ripenbark.
