FUNERAL SERVICES TO BE HELD TODAY FOR J. R. ENGLISH, 80.

Funeral services will be held in the Oglethorpe Baptist Church today [Thursday] for Joseph Richard English, 80 year old resident of Oglethorpe, who passed away at the Montezuma Hospital Tuesday after an illness of several weeks.

Rev. C. L. Goss will officiate and interment will be in the Oglethorpe Cemetery. Grandsons of the deceased will serve as pallbearers.

The son of the late Joseph and Sarah Williams English, Mr. English was born in 1870 and was a life long resident of Macon County. He was the husband of the late Lena Dyess English.

Survivors are six children, Mrs. R. J. Justice of Montezuma, Mrs. Jake Frank Peaster of Oglethorpe, Mrs. R. W. Murph of Columbus, Mrs. H. L. Helton of LaGrange, W. C. English of Oglethorpe and J. M. English of Thomaston and several grandchildren.
