He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Shell (Taylor) and father, Grover, 4 sisters; Freda Jeckering, Arline Morris, Betty Mulholland, Audrey Banister, a brother, James and twin brother, Robert, and a son-in-law, William Crider. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Shell (Kingston), daughter, Deborah Young (Rick), extended family, Barbara Crider, Patricia Green (Dan), Susan Guinn (John) of Fort Meyers, Florida, son James W. Shell (Michele), Kimberly Dougherty (Jimi) and son, Kevin R. Shell (Dawn) of Norfolk, Virginia. Mr. Shell is also survived by sister-in-law, Barbara Hargrove, 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
