June Jarrett Jenkins
Mrs. June Jarrett Jenkins, 73, of Highway 293, Kingston, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Bartow County, GA, February 26, 1941, daughter of the late Lawrence Bradley “Doc” Jarrett and Willie Belle Murphy Jarrett Oats. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the Connesena Baptist Church. Mrs. Jenkins had a heart of gold, always putting others first. She enjoyed cooking, loved being with her family and in her last few years she spent most of her days tending and caring for her husband and daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugh Dennis Jenkins and daughter, Frances Marie “Missy” Jenkins.
Survivors include her 3 children, Theresa and Johnny Moore of Cartersville, Don and Sissy Jenkins of Kingston, and Deborah “Debbie” and Clayton Christopher of Kingston; 4 grandchildren, Johnny and Dana Moore, Sarah and Jason Daves, Kristi and John Culver, Jr, and Mitchell Jenkins; 2 step grandchildren, Perry Christopher and Kim Tucker; 6 great-grandchildren and 6 step great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Stoney Thompson, Eileen and Kenny Johnson and Kathy Hanselman; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Connesena Baptist Church, Kingston with Rev. Stacey Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in Connesena Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Connesena Baptist Church.
