Oliver John "Noon" Sanders was the son of Oliver John Sanders and Mary Ann Vidler Sanders. His father was killed by the Jay Hawkers in 1864 when Oliver was 4 years old. He and his brother William boarded with the Duggan family. Their mother remarried in 1879 to Needham Lee.
Oliver married Palestine Fauste March 31, 1881. They were parents of Florence (Tramel), Martha Anne (Leonard), Mary William(Self) & Jo-Ella "Josie"(Veuleman)Sanders.
Last rites for John Oliver Sanders, age 82 years, were held last Friday at three o'clock at Fenders cemetery, Rev. Joe Flanagan of Zwolle officiating, Dennis-Green funeral home in charge of funeral, interment Fenders cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Annie Sanders Leonard and Josie Sanders Veuleman, Zwolle; one sister, Mrs. Mary Sanders Vogel, Anacoco; 16 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Noon is at rest with his wife Palestine in Fenders Cemetery
