Leslie Frank Woods, 77, of Norman, OK passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born January 2, 1939 in Yukon, OK, to Frank and Marjorie (Hurley) Woods.

He attended Yukon Public Schools and became a mail carrier, eventually serving as the Yukon Postmaster for 8 years. He then moved to Norman where he served as Postmaster for 8 years before becoming the Postal Service District Supervisor for Delivery Service. Leslie retired from the United States Postal Service after 46 years of service. He also served in the Army Reserves for 33 years where he was honorably discharged as Command Sergeant Major. Leslie was a member of Vandament Avenue Baptist Church in Yukon, started the Benjamin Franklin Stamp Club in Yukon, and was a member of the Lions Club. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Marjorie Woods and son Leslie Owen Woods.

Leslie is survived by his wife Golda; daughter Benji Warmoth and husband Larry; grandchildren, Hannah, Corrie, Waylan and Aaron Warmoth and two sisters, Kathy Brewer and husband Dr. David and Sheral Ozmun and husband Grover, as well as numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
