Morrison, Marjorie L., of Stormville, NY, formerly of Peekskill, NY, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 4, 2014.
Mrs. Morrison was born in Princeton, NJ on October 1, 1929 to Henry and Mary Louise (Hazzard) Howell. She was graduated from Brewster High School in 1947.
Marjorie was married to LaVerne Pinckney for 31 years until his death in 1978. She then married Grant P. Morrison on May 10, 1981 at the Red Mills Baptist Church in Mahopac Falls, NY. Mr. Morrison died this past December 19th.
Mrs. Morrison had worked at the Peaceable Hill Florist (the family florist) for many years until its closing in the late 1990’s. She enjoyed gardening and music and she loved her God and her family, each at the center of her life.
Mrs. Morrison is survived by children Cynthia Morrison, Robert Pinckney, Lee Anne Croft, Deborah Ellison, Deborah McMillan, Judith Keenan and Elaine Tremblay; A sister Shirley Hutter; 22 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by two step-daughters, Mary Anderson in 1989 and Diane Davidson in 2005; and a sister Mary Gertrude Pinckney in 2007.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 1:00PM at the Red Mills Baptist Church, 531 Rt 6N, Mahopac Falls, NY. Interment following at the Ballard-Barrett Cemetery just behind the church.
