Barbara Dorothy Lambert, 83, of Pensacola was born on April 26, 1933 in Crenshaw, AL and passed away peacefully July 14, 2016. She was a resident of Pensacola for 58 years. Barbara retired from JC Penney after many years of service. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and avid quilter and belonged to the Homemaker’s Club. She also painted and helped her husband make handmade toys for many years after their retirement.
Barbara is remembered by her family and friends as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Dave D. Lambert; parents, E.F. and Mary Acreman; and 7 siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Lisa (Mike) Gonzalez, Kristin (Mark) Sturges; grandchildren, Ashley and David Gonzalez, Megan and Jacob Sturges; and sister, Erline Kelsoe.
Visitation will take place at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 6-8:00pm Sunday, July 17,2016. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home Monday, July 18th at 11:00am with burial to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
