Lt. Col. David H. "Blue" Adams (US Army, Ret.) Obituary
Lt. Col. David H. "Blue" Adams (US Army, Ret.), 76, of Hattiesburg, died July 13, 2016, at Merit Health Wesley. Visitation will be Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, from 1:30 p.m. until the service at 3:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Adams retired after 35 years of service from the U.S. Army as Lt. Col. He also retired from Hercules after many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert "Otto" and Beverly Adams.
Survivors include his wife of 19 ½ years, Martha Dow Adams of Hattiesburg; five daughters, Cassie Walls (Walter) of Easley, SC, Beverly Gory (John) of Hattiesburg, Melissa Wilson (J.P.) of Gulf Shores, AL, Melinda Bachtold (Jon) of Elberta, AL, Tammy Hodges (Wesley) of Hattiesburg; two sons, Dave Adams (Honey) of Hattiesburg and Chris Dow of little Rock, AR; one brother, John Q. Adams of Hattiesburg; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be directed to St. Fabian Catholic Church.
