On July 7, 2016, the Lord called Mark Drake Jr. home to his final resting place. Mark was born in Detroit, Michigan to Mark Drake Sr. and Mary Council on September 13, 1947. Mark gave his life to Christ at an early age. He received his childhood education in Battle Creek and Detroit Michigan Public School System. He married Annabell Snodgrass on March 12, 1983 in Springfield, Ohio. Mark graduated from Kellogg College in Battle Creek, Michigan with an Associate's Degree and from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He worked as a Civil Engineer for Wright Patterson Air Force Base where he retired after many years of dedicated service. He also was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and served in the United States Air Force. Mark was involved in coaching basketball and mentoring both men and women and kids of all ages. He enjoyed praising the Lord, spreading his knowledge and wisdom for his love of the Lord, basketball, life and roller skating. Mark leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Charles Drake and Mark Drake III; sisters, Delores Drake Davis and Lillie Braggs; grandson, Mark Drake IV; god children, Nathaniel and Shannel McFarland and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Annabell Drake and a brother, Isaac Drake. "Anytime is party time and party time is anytime!"
