Patricia Murphy Free, 89, of Murrysville, died Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at her home. She was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Ruth (Budda) Laxton Murphy. She was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. Patricia was an avid golfer and a member of the Alcoma Golf Club for 47 years. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Murphy and Michael Murphy; and a nephew, Michael Murphy. Patricia is survived by her husband, Samuel S. Free; two sons, Douglas M. (Jacqueline) Free and Gary J. (Lorraine) Free; four grandchildren, Jennifer J. (Robert) Comella, John S. (Jennifer) Free, David P. Free and Tiana Patricia Free; three great-grandchildren, Joseph Comella, Ryder Free and Kellan Free; and a nephew, Timothy (Jody) Murphy.
Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. Interment will follow in the Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum Borough.
