Billy was born on October 23, 1937 in Miracle, Kentucky to the late Hillary and Mary (Cox) Wilder. He passed away on July 6, 2016 in his Marion home.

Billy enlisted in the United States Army in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1959. Later that same year he came to Marion and worked as a laborer for General Motors, retiring in 1989. Billy loved to play bingo, poker and other forms of card games. He was a member of Legion Post 10, Eagles Lodge 227 and Amvets.

Billy is survived by his son Ronny (Melody) Wilder, Atlanta, Georgia; Gary Wilder, Marion; Lisa (David) Leach, Nebraska; David (Kim) Swetman, Greg Wilder, both of Gas City; Vina (Jimmy) Eddington, Fairmount; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by his son Billy E. Wilder; brother, Jay Wilder; sisters, Ruth Ann Hunley and Donna Lee.

Visitation will be held from 10:30am-12:30pm, Monday, July 11, 2016 in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana.

Graveside services with military honors will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 pm in Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th Street, Marion, Indiana with Chaplain Don Miller officiating.
