Rev. Larry Alford, 56, of the Taylortown municipality, Pinehurst, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at FirstHealth Hospice House, in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Lewis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 5422 Raeford Road, Fayetteville. Viewings will be held Friday, Oct. 10, 4:30 – 6 p.m.M, at Simon Funeral Home Chapel, Southern Pines; and Saturday, Oct. 11, 10–11 a.m., at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, 5013 Bostic Road, Raeford. Burial will be in Academy Heights Cemetery, Taylortown [Moore Co.].
He is survived by his wife, Angela; children, Larry Junior (Julia) and Kimberly Alford; brothers, James, Martin, Edward, Arthur and Lorenzo Alford; sisters, Lottie Mason, Mary Adams; two grandchildren; and other relatives.
