Missouri appears with her parents on both the 1850 and 1860 census at Rushville.
At Rushville, she first married George Monroe on 21 Nov 1861, and with him is known to have had one child, Sara A. 'Sallie' Monroe.
By the 1870 census, Missouri and Sara are residing with her mother and sisters in the family home at Rushville without George.
It appears she was awarded a divorce from George Monroe, as when she marries again to John Megee on 15 Feb 1876, she does so as Missouri 'Hackleman,' not 'Monroe.'
With John Megee, she had two additional children: Adelia H. and Edwin Adams.
In 1885, her daughter Sara Monroe married lawyer William Jason Henley, Sr., and by 1904 had removed with him and their three children to Chicago.
After Missouri's death, her husband John and their son Edwin appear on the 1910 census in the Chicago household of Sara (Mason) Henley, and remained in close contact with Rushville relatives. Her granddaughter Gladys Henley later married Henry Louis Mauzy and returned to live in John and Missouri's home on Harrison Street.
Missouri died at her home of Atrophic Gastritis. The informant on her death certificate was her husband John Megee.
