Grant Stott, age 86, passed away on May 23, 2002 in Salt Lake City.

Born February 16, 1916 to William Edwin Stott and Arlie Elvira Grant Stott in Duchesne.

He married Helen Cloe Greenhalgh on April 16, 1942; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 18, 1964.

Grant was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, he loved spending time with his family. He was a hard worker and an excellent provider, he taught his children the value of being hard workers.

He held several positions in the LDS Church, and served a full-time mission with his wife.

Grant was a master of all trades, and he loved to show what he could do by giving labors. He was very generous with his time and talents.

Survived by his wife, Helen; children, Marilyn Jane (Robert) Musselman, Glen Richard (Conchita) Stott, Gerald Grant (Kathy) Stott, Lyle Wayne (Kayla) Stott, and Shirley Chloe (Michael) Pappin; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, brother, Paul Stott; and sisters, June Hayden and Vera Millet. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Glen; infant brothers, sister, Ruth; and two grandchildren, Marc and Denise.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at 12:00 p.m. in the McKay Ward Chapel, 1623 South 500 East. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.
Interment: Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South State Street (100 East).
