Tonya Michelle Knight, 48, of Tallahassee, FL passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel AME Church, with burial in Southside Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950), with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony at 7 p.m. at Tillman's. Born in Tampa, FL, Tonya graduated from FAMU in Business Economics and was a player and assistant coach for the FAMU Women's Softball Team. She had been employed with the FL Dept. of Financial Services, Office of Insurance Regulation. She is survived by her parents, John A. Jr. and Cherry A. Knight; sister, Crystal Knight; brother, Crystopher Knight; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
