MARION, Va.

Nancy Jane McCoy, age 72, died Monday, July 11, 2016 at Vaca Valley Hospital, Vacaville, Calif.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She worked for Tultex Corporation for 12 years. She was retired from the Smyth County Regional Jail after many years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard “Pete” McCoy; parents, Oliver and Callie Craft; sister, Shelby Blankenship; and brother, Jimmy Craft.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Susan Stamper and fiancé, Fred Blevins; son, Greg McCoy and lifelong partner, Tonda Perkins; sisters, Connie Roland and husband, Joe and Kathy Lowe and husband, Earl; special sister-in-law, Magdalene Craft, all of Chilhowie, Va.; six grandchildren, Michael, Tommy, Laura, Jami, Katie and J.L.; five great-grandchildren, Liam, Wesley, Shawn, Christopher, and Baby Mikey; special friends, Boyd Cregger and Wanda Widener; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Robert Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
