N. FALMOUTH - Raymond Thomas Warren,
90, passed away at Falmouth Hospital, Falmouth, MA, of respiratory failure.
He was born in Rochester, New York, in October 1925, the oldest child of Alphonsine Ann Jacques and Raymond Henry Warren.
Raymond was a patriot, a highly successful realtor, an avid sportsman and a beloved husband, father and friend to all.
He was a graduate of Aquinas Institute and proudly served in the Army Corps of Engineers for 4 years as a demolition specialist during World War II. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science in business. As president and founder with his wife, Pat, of R. T. Warren, Inc., Realtors, a brokerage firm serving Framingham and Metro-West for many years.
He was a Life Member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and a Realtor Emeritus. He served on many committees and was a past President of the Brokers Institute and Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee for a number of years. He was a past President of the Framingham/MetroWest Rotary Club.
An enthusiastic hunter and fisherman, Raymond won The Massachusetts State Gallery Pistol Championship in 1960. In 1985 he won a trophy from the Maine Antler and Scull Trophy Club for shooting a huge black bear.
He enjoyed golf as a member of the Pelican Landing and Vineyards Golf Clubs in South West Florida and Ballymeade Country Club in Falmouth, Massachusetts.
He was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Christ the King, Mashpee, Massachusetts, and Saint Raymond of Penafort in Springfield, VA. His winter residence was at Greenspring in Springfield, VA and his summer residence was in Ballymeade Estates in North Falmouth, Massachusetts.
He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 64 years, Patricia (Burroughs) Warren and three children, Deborah A. Warren of Fairfax Station, VA, Jeffrey R. Warren of Spokane, Washington, and Raymond K. Warren of Gillette, Wyoming. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Nicole S. Norman of Austin, Texas, Trenton M. Warren and Kyle T. Warren both of Gillette, Wyoming and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, July 15 th at 10 am at St. Jude’s Chapel, Christ the King Church , Job’s Fishing Road, Mashpee, MA 02649. Burial will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Massachusetts, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ray Warren may be made to The Greenspring Benevolent Care Fund , 7404 Spring Village Drive, Springfield, VA 22150.
