Delmar was born June 17, 1933 in Unity, a son of the late William and Fay Justison Felger and been a life long resident of the area.
He had worked as a machinist at the former L.W. Nash Company of East Palestine, and later with the Main Street Machine Shop of Leetonia, where he retired from.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during peacetime. He played football for Sendai Bearcats and enjoyed playing softball. He loved sports of all kinds, including Golf and NASCAR racing. He also enjoyed listenening to classical country music.
Delmar is survived by his wife of 59 years, Yasuko, whom he married April 10, 1957 at the Tokoyo Embassy; daughter, Debra Fay (James) Heaton of East Palestine; brother, Gerald Felger of Springfield; sister Paddy (Lou) Peveler of Tampa, Fl.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five sisters; Mildred Felger; Luciel Hartman, Elva Fronk, Anola Masters and Kathleen Payton as well as five brothers, Russell, Harlan, Virgil, Alfred and Donald Felger.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday July 30, 2016 at the First Church of Christ, 20 E. Martin St., East Palestine with Jim Ostick officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the
church.
