Burial with full military honors will be at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville.
A native of Murray, he was born Jan. 16, 1934, the son of the late Joseph and Edith Wilson Carson. He worked as a supervisor for Bell South in Hopkinsville.
He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He was of the Methodist faith, and was a member of the VFW.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Kay Carson, his brother, Bobby Carson and a grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Carson, Cadiz; his son, Michael Joe (Patty) Carson, Columbia, Tenn.; his daughter, Teresa (Karl) White, Cadiz; his stepson, Michael Thomas (Michelle) Boyd, Bonney Lake, Wash.; his stepdaughters, Lisa Michelle (Chad) Tucker, Cypress, Texas, and Rebecca (Kent) Stewart, Commerce, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
