Bonnie was born in Stockton, California. When she was two her father was named manager of the freight office in San Jose. When she was seven the railroad transferred her father to the Los Angeles office.

Before the start of eighth grade she and her mom moved back to San Jose where she attended Herbert Hoover Jr. High and Abraham Lincoln High where she graduated in 1959. She attended San Jose State University and was member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She was the sorority Social Chairman and chosen as a Fraternity Queen by Sigma Phi. She worked her way through college at the San Jose Swim and Racquet Club, the John Robert Powers Finishing School and also a TA in the Philosophy Department. She was secretary of the Marketing Club and graduated with a BS in Business Administration and a Minor in Asian Philosophy.

After graduation she moved to San Francisco and was an assistant buyer for the Roos/Atkins clothing chain.

She married W. Gary Clarke in 1965 and after their son Tim was born she taught at the Patricia Stevens Career College. In 1969 the family moved to Washington State and in 1971 moved to Issaquah. In 1975 they moved to Sammamish.

After the birth of their daughter Sally, Bonnie became active in the Issaquah Coop Preschool, Seattle Opera, and the Issaquah Gliders Track Team.

She went back to work as the coordinator of the fashion merchandising department at the Carolyn Hansen Fashion College.

In 1980 she began a twenty six year career with Nordstrom. After retiring she worked on the wholesale side for a Chinese company in Shanghai, China. In 2008 she began a job with Macy’s at Redmond Town Center in the Children’s Department.

She was first diagnosed with Cancer in 1993 and dealt with it for the rest of her life. She is survived by her son Tim and his girlfriend Anette Lahtinen of Sammamish, daughter Sally Toussaint of Olympia and two grandchildren, Senari and Sekula.

A memorial service will be held on May 21 at Crossroads Bible Church, at 2 pm.
