Mr. Gary Switzer Hamm, age 78, husband of Jerry Hamm of 106 Jenkins St., Union, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Center.

Mr. Hamm was born in Union on August 25, 1937 a son of the late Jesse Ham, Sr. and Anna Martin Ham. He was a graduate of Union High School and had retired from Life of Georgia Insurance. Mr. Hamm was a member of the Union Church of Christ.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 63 years are three sons, Scott Hamm and wife Carol of Union, Steve Hamm and wife Rita of Greensboro, NC, and Greg Hamm of Chapin, SC; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Union Church of Christ conducted by Mr. Raymond Climer and Mr. David Foster. Burial will be private.

Active pallbearers will be, Adam Gregory, David Gregory, Mitchell Hamm, Todd Hamm, Jeff Newton, Clarence Sanders, and Will Sexton.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM Friday prior to the services at the church.
