Debra Ruth Day was born Sunday, May 22, 1960 in Springfield, MO to James Walter and Ruth (Conrad) Willoughby. She attended school in Willard, MO and graduated from the Willard High School in the class of 1978. She attended Ozark Technical College in Springfield and earned an Associates Degree in Arts. She met Gerald Ray Day in Bradleyville. They were married September 9, 2010 in Bradleyville. Debra worked for O’Reillys delivering automobile parts. She became disabled and retired in 2009.
Debra was a strong, tough lady with a good sense of humor that enjoyed hunting deer, turkeys, raccoons and bobcats. On her gentler side, she liked cooking, caning, sewing and garage sales. She particularly enjoyed making baby quilts and afghans and being with her grandchildren. Debra always thought of others first. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald R. Day of Bradleyville; two sons, Christopher Hoskins and wife, Ashley of Chelsea, OK, Brian Hoskins of St. Joseph, MO; mother, Ruth Willoughby of Willard, MO; brother, James Willoughby and wife, Kristi of Walnut Grove, MO; sister, Patti Johnson and husband, Kenneth of Mt. Vernon, MO and two grandchildren, Bryson and Callie Hoskins.
She is preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO.
