MUSCATINE, Iowa - David M. Stuart, 57, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016, at Premier Estates.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Casket bearers will be Alan Smith, Joseph Smith, Michael Shellady, Edward Noah, Matt Green, John Green, and Kevin Stuart. Burial will take place in Island Cemetery. David was born on July 7, 1959, in Iowa City, the son of Edwin and Geraldine Plank Stuart. He was a graduate of Cedar Rapids High School.
He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp.
He worked for HON as a CNC operator. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous where he has been sober for 24 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Those left to honor his memory include a daughter, Ashley Salek of Muscatine; special sons, John Salek Jr. and Jared Salek, both of Muscatine; two brothers, Dennis Smith and wife, Sheila, of Muscatine, and Kevin Stuart of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Patty Green and husband, John, of Muscatine; one uncle, Marvin Plank of Muscatine; and two aunts, Charlene Payne of Muscatine, and Janice Coss and husband, LaVerne, of Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Larry and Alan Smith, and Steven Stuart; and one sister, Sandy (Stuart) Leonard.
