Conrad Lapp Dead
Conrad Lapp, an old and highly esteemed citizen of this place, died yesterday at the family home, 79 Orman St, He was 75 years old and was born in Hesse-Cassel, Germany. He was a coal miner and by frugality and industry had gained a competence sufficient for the needs of peaceful age. He leaves an estate part of which is the valuable property at the corner of Union and Water Streets. Mr Lapp was affiliated with Salem Reform church. He is survived by the following children: Conrad A Lapp, a businessman of this place; William Lapp of Kansas; Daniel Lapp of Homestead, Pa; Mrs Robert W Young of Braddock and Mrs John Peeks(?) this place. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon from the family residence. Rev F E Metger, pastor of Salem Reformed Church will officiate. Interment will be in Allegany Cemetery.
