Juanita Adams Martin, 87, of Alumni Avenue, passed away July 10, 2016, at Christian Health Center of natural causes.
Funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with Rev. Leroy Crouch officiating. Burial will be in New Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Martin was born Oct. 15, 1928, in Christian County, the daughter of the late Ethan Harold and Evelyn Shaw Adams. She retired from the state of Kentucky as a certified substance abuse counselor. She was an active volunteer, having served as a registered volunteer pharmacy technician for St. Luke Free Clinic and as a volunteer for The Salvation Army. She was also an active member of the Hopkinsville Business & Professional Women’s Club, AARP and Lakeview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, William Harold “Billy” Martin; brother, Kent Adams; and sisters, Irene Stone and Lois Mounts.
