Jack W. Arnold, Jr., 79, died at his residence in Hinesville Monday, July 11, 2016, under the care of Heartland Hospice.

A native of Birmingham, Michigan, he lived in Hinesville for 57 years and was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Civil Service at Fort Stewart after 18 years of service and was a member of Compass Worship Center in Ludowici. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Arnold is survived by his wife of 57 years, Miriam McDonald Arnold; children, Gary Arnold (Amy) of Hinesville, Michael Arnold (Janell) of Hinesville, Debby Davis (Ken) of Ludowici, and Johni-Lynn Holton (David) of Columbia, SC; sister, Louise Goodman (Allen) of Vassar, MI; grandchildren, Cameron Arnold and Kenneth Davis, Jr., Paige Evors, Ashley Arnold, Taylor Payne, Courtney Arnold, Hunter Davis, and Jonathon Holton; and one great-grandchild, Reagan Payne.

Visitation will be 6-8pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Compass Worship Center, 212 East Cypress Street, Ludowici. Funeral Services will begin at 11 am on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Compass Worship Center in Ludowici with Reverend Byron E. Powers, Bishop Charles Green, and Bishop David A. Holton officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Oglethorpe Memorial Park.
