Bobbie Marie Widdows, age 83, of East Peoria, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 9:02 a.m. at her residence.
She was born June 16, 1933 in East Prairie, MO to John and Bessie (Duncan) McIllwain. She married Claude Widdows on Dec. 30, 1952 in Charleston, MO. He passed away Nov. 23, 2007 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sandy Woods, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two daughters: Kim Johnson of East Peoria, Debbie (Mark) Davis of Morton, five grandchildren: David (Kathy) King of Creve Coeur, Karly (Chad) Campbell of Pekin, Corey Davis of Morton, Dustin Woods of Cape Girardeau, MO, Katie Johnson of East Peoria, four great-grandchildren: Elijah, Emma, Tena, Melissa, and two sisters: Alfreda Thresher of East Prairie, MO, and Charlene Hutcheson of Kissimmee, FL.
Bobbie worked for Escargot Sportswear in East Peoria from the mid 1980’s till 2000.
She was a sweet, kind, and loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and her front porch swing.
Visitation will be Thursday July 14, 2016 from 10 to 12 Noon at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.
Private graveside services will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East
