Daughter of Steven and Mary, she was a member of the First Christian church of Murphysboro. She was a homemaker, and was survived by one son, one daughter and their spouses; twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elsworth C. Wood, her parents, her sisters Pauline Kowal, Christina Evanos, Helen Bryant, Mary Popvich, Anna Clark, and brothers Mikey Evanos and Charlie Evanos.

She will be missed.
