LLOYD THOMAS "TOMMY" HOLT was born in Cerro Gordo, Tennessee on April 21, 1943 to the late Floyd and Grace Cagle Holt. He graduated from Frank Hughes School in 1961. Tommy was united in marriage to Becky Williams on May 30, 1965. Together they had three children, Lori Mitchell, married to Joey Mitchell, Janet Holt, engaged to Kelvin Wilkerson and Randy Holt. He was grandfather "Poppy" to seven grandchildren, Ashley Matlock , married to Daniel Matlock, Mason Mitchell, Megan Holt, Bailey Holt, Kaylie Mitchell, Rebecca Boykin and Clay Holt; two great grandchildren expected February 26, 2015, Jon Daniel and Connor Holt Matlock. He is also survived by a sister Jane Evelyn Smith and her husband Jim and one brother, Billy Holt and his wife Dorothy Lynn.

Tommy was retired form Southgate Supply Inc. He previously worked at Hassell Lumber Company, TVEC , River Heights Lumber, Tommy Holt Lumber and Tommy Holt Construction.
Tommy served in the National Guard from September 22, 1962 to January 28, 1968. He received the Sharp Shooter Rifleman award on April 15, 1967.
Tommy was a member of Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church . He was a member of the NRA. Tommy was a past member of American Quarter Horse Association and Hardin County Saddle Club. Tommy enjoyed being outdoors to camp, fish and garden, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren.
Tommy departed this life on January 5, 2015.
