Daniel Joseph Bowen passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at his home in Marlow. He was 57. Dan was born Thursday, June 25, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas to Clarence Denzil and Mary Janet Flanigan Bowen.

He graduated from Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita, Kansas. Dan went on to earn his Associates, Bachelors and a Masters degree. On December 10, 1983, Dan married the love of his life, Tammie Crawford in Norman. Dan proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, retiring with 21 years of service.

Dan worked as Senior Director for RONCO Consulting Corp and he later began his own company, Operations Training Management, OTM, in which he was the CEO. His service and his career took him around the globe as he strived to make the world safer, he is remembered as a strong humanitarian.

Dan was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, watching over his kids. He enjoyed the outdoors, swimming. boating, fishing and golfing. Dan like the simple things like just driving around, he loved to watch Jeopardy on TV and watching the Minnesota Vikings play football. Dan will greatly missed and remembered well by family, friends and all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Tammie Bowen of the home, son Ryan Bowen of the home, daughter, Tera Hendershot of Marlow, daughter, Laci Bowen of Marlow, four grandchildren, Sadie Melton, Ava Hendershot, Ely Hendershot and Daniel Hornberger, mother, Mary Janet Bowen of Wichita, Kansas, three sisters, Debi Thompson and Kathy Thompson of Wichita, Kansas and Kim Madison and husband, Ben of Wichita, Kansas and sister, Kerry Miser of Wichita, Kansas, niece Hollie Johnston and two nephews, Timothy Collier and Charlie Miser.

Dan was preceded in death by his father and a brother-in-law, Jim Miser.

Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 and the Mass of Christian Burial services will be at 1:00 p.m. July 15, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marlow. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery.

Services under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, Marlow, Oklahoma.
