Cumberland, MD – Linda Rose Huffman, 65, of Cumberland, MD, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 4, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Born June 11, 1951, in Morgantown, WV, Mrs. Huffman was the daughter of the late Robert Hellen and Delores (West) Hellen.
Linda was a full-time homemaker and a member of the Memorial Heights Baptist Church.
Her husband, children, and granddaughters were the light of her life. Linda loved being a grandmother and her granddaughters brought so much joy to her life.
She loved cooking, baking, and enjoyed the Grand Ole Opry. Linda had a kindred spirit and anyone who knew her knew she loved God with all of her heart.
Linda is survived by her husband of 44 years: Samuel K. Huffman; and her children: Robert K. Huffman, Cumberland, MD; Amy R. Hutt and fiancé, Blair Hall, California MD; and Samantha M. Huffman, Cumberland, MD.
She also leaves behind her sister: Shirley Guthrie and husband, Larry, Smithfield, PA; and her granddaughters: Alyssa and Courtney Hutt, California, MD; her nieces: Tanya Hodge and husband, Greg, Connellsville, PA: Tina Keener and husband, Andy; and Tiffany Guthrie, all of Smithfield, PA.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Thursday, July 7, 2016, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Memorial Heights Baptist Church on Friday, July 8, 2016, at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend Chan Hubbard officiating.
The family will also receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery.
