She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown, sang in the church choir, and had served on various committees in the church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Gene L. Appleby; one daughter, Gail M. Mathews, Walkersville; two grandchildren; two brothers, C. Monroe Keeney, Middletown; and Harold T. Keeney, Frederick; and two sisters, Ruth L. Fuller, Severn; and Isabel Lakin, Walkersville.
Services were held at Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown; interment was private; arrangements were by the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown.
