Harris W. (Hanger) Johnson, Sr., 79 of Waynesboro died Monday, July 11, 2013 at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville. Born August 17, 1936 in Nelson County a son of the late Kauffman Harris Johnson and Pearl Currier Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lee Martin Johnson.
Harris was a retired cabinet maker for Stanley Furniture in Waynesboro and a member of Beech Grove Christian Church in Nellysford.
He is survived by two daughters, Lynnette J. Wood (Dallas) of Arrington and Lee D. Flynn (Thomas) of Waynesboro; two sons, Harris W. Johnson, Jr. (Linda) of Waynesboro and James E. Johnson of Crimora; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lovingston with Pastor Rob Mansfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the funeral home.
