ROOK, RITA ROSE (KEMPF), died peacefully with her husband and children by her side on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Baptist East Hospital.

Rita was born on July 17, 1922, the daughter of the late Mike and Marie Kempf. She grew up in Louisville attending St. Theresa School and Ursuline Academy. She met the love of her life, Bob, at her senior prom. After giving her a ring, Bob went off to Europe to serve for three years as a captain in the army. Rita wrote Bob daily keeping him informed on what was happening in Louisville.
