Mrs. Frances McGuire Graves, age 90 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Graves was born in Carroll County on October 17, 1925, the daughter of the late Robert Lee McGuire and Jewel Nixon McGuire. Mrs. Graves retired in 1994 from Gold Kist after 35 years of service as an accountant. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Robert Douglas Graves of Carrollton; grandchildren and their spouses, Laura Beth and Marc Albertson, Robert Daniel and Kyra Graves all of Elberton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty E. Branson, Jerry and Sammy Eady, Jo Sybil McGuire all of Carrollton and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Lee McGuire, Steve Rodney McGuire and sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Chuck Laney.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Jones and Daniel Graves officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Branson, Lee Laney, Stephen Laney, J.J. Gentry, Philip Denney and Renee Eady.
Interment will be in Tallapoosa Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
