Mrs. Gwendolyn Elizabeth Crews Moore, 56, of Nahunta, died early Thursday morning at her residence in Nahunta after a long illness.

Born in Brantley County she was the daughter of Sim and Irene Elizabeth Crews. "Cookie," as known by her friends and family had worked as a cashier for Jiffy Convenient Stores before her illness, and was a member of the Atkinson Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rufus "R.G." Grady Moore, also her 2-brothers, Sport & Everett Crews, 2-sisters, Stella Ellis & Evelyn Tucker.

Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Luke Moore, of Bristol, 3-grandchildren, Joshua Ray Herrin, Haley Elizabeth Moore and Lucas Troy Moore, 2-Step-sons and daughter-in-law, J.J. and Kathy Moore, and Tony Moore, all of Estill, S. C., 2-step-daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Bud Rowe, of Savannah, GA, and Pat and Greg Jones, of LaMoore, CA,10-step-grandchildren, Amber and Emily Senn, Ashley and Austin Moore, Cheyenne & Lariat Moore, Kentia & James Ranies, Jack Henry Rowe and Charles Adam Jones, 4-brothers and sisters-in-law, Neal and Vivian Crews, of Hoboken, Dewitt and Sandy Crews, of Polk City, FL, Eddie Crews, of Nahunta, and Joe T. and Evelyn Crews, of Hoboken, 1-sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Raymond Carter of Nahunta, also several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be Friday evening at the Chambless-Frye Funeral Home starting at 6PM.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon (Mar.11,2006) at 1:00PM from the Hoboken Baptist Church with Rev. Claud Goble and Rev. Tim Rowell officiating.

Burial will follow in the family plot at Hoboken City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Herrin, Matt and Ryan Day, Richard Crews, Jason Mixon, Calvin Ellis and Adam Carter.
